How should I select my size?
Sizing is very individual and comes down to personal comfort. When selecting a size, we suggest that you choose the size with which you have the most in common.
For example, if your shoe size and your height fall within S/M, but your calf is 16" and falls within L/XL, the S/M is likely your best bet. However, if your shoe size and height fall within S/M and your calf size is 22" then the L/XL will likely be better, as the extra height of the sock will help to fill out the area around a very wide calf.
The majority of our testers found the S/M to be the right size. Our socks do stretch, so keep that in mind and use the size chart below as a guideline.
If I have a medical condition, should I wear compression socks?
Everyone should consult a physician before wearing compression socks — especially if you have a medical condition.
Why isn't the sock’s entire foot bed fully cushioned or reinforced?
From heel to toe, Lily Trotters are designed to be marathon strong. Our heels are cushioned to help absorb impact during strenuous and repetitive activity, such as running. Our reinforced toes are built to help keep toes from popping through the socks (just keep those toenails clipped!).
Will Lily Trotters make socks with compression stronger than 15-20 mmHg?
For the foreseeable future, Lily Trotters will be focusing solely upon manufacturing 15-20 mmHg high-performance compression socks.
Will Lily Trotters be making socks for plus-sized women?
We plan to add more size options to our sock line as we grow, and hope to include plus-size options at that time.
Do you make a men's line?
Not at the moment, but we are seriously thinking about launching a men's line. When we do, we will be sure to announce it loudly. Until then, Lily Trotters are equal opportunity socks. Some of our best customers are men who regularly wear Lily Trotters when they play sports, fly, or need a trouser sock with their work clothes. We call them our “Secret Society of Men Who Wear Lily Trotters.” Their identities are safe with us! Just don't be surprised if you see green and pink polka dots peeking out from under a man's pants.
