Making Our Mark @ the Baltimore Women's Classic!

July 07, 2018

What an amazing weekend! The Mercy Baltimore Women’s Classic 5K (second oldest women-only race in the country!) took place on Sunday, and Lily Trotters was there to represent!

First, we geared up for race day by joining Charm City Run on Saturday for packet pick-up at their Timonium location and making sure participants had fresh and fun compression socks for the challenge.  Then, we were there bright and early under one of the vendor tents to educate women of all athletic backgrounds about the benefits of compression--and to show off our style!

Two of our awesome ambassadors--Lauren and Karen--also showed major pizazz at the finish line, making 2nd and 3rd in their age groups.  Woot-woot! Plus, we got to catch up with our bestie Lauren Edwards: she was the first person to ever write a review for us and was featured in our Kickstarter video.  She's still rockin' thoe original Blue Candy Stripes! What a lot of LT Love!  We’ll see you all at the 44th BWC next year!!

Encouraging the (Female!) Entrepreneurial Spirit

September 21, 2018

Last night we happily celebrated two of our youngest sock flock members--Erica Dougherty and Alexis Champion--at a reception that honored their recent work-study experience.  This past summer, these high school seniors joined us at headquarters and spent some of their vacation hard at work. These ladies had a crash course in marketing, studied up on our branding, and lent their skills to our social media and sales divisions.

This awesome opportunity--for both the young women and for us!--was part of the larger Summer Internship Program offered through Roland Park Country School in Baltimore, Maryland. Twenty-nine of their students participated in the program, gaining job skills, mentorship, and real world experience across a variety of fields.

We are grateful to have been a part of something designed to be enriching and empowering to young people, and we’re thrilled to have had Erica and Alexis as part of our team. Way to go, ladies!! Can’t wait to see what you do next.  :)

Lily Trotters WINS the Title Nine Movers & Makers Pitchfest

September 17, 2018

On September 12, 2018 at the Title Nine Headquarters in Emeryville, California - the ladies of Lily Trotters participated in the inaugural T9 Movers & Makers Pitchfest. And, we WON!

What a day. From listening to the pitches of the eight other finalists to learning from successful female CEO's - the day could not have been more rewarding. We are so motivated to continue sharing the story of Lily Trotters and the benefits of compression after hearing from other women run brands that are making waves in the outdoor retail space.

Our pitch covered everything from WHY women should wear compression socks to what makes Lily Trotters different from other compression brands. We discussed our origin story and the progress we've made in just a few years from our uber successful KickStarter campaign to now being sold in 120 retail locations with 60+ #unstoppable ambassadors representing our brand. We felt we had a really great shot at winning but so did the 8 other finalists!

So, what's next? Well, Lily Trotters will be featured in Title Nine's Spring 2019 catalog. Keep an eye out and let us know what you think! We hope this helps spread the word on all things compression and Lily Trotters.

Outdoor Retailer Recap!

July 28, 2018

Phew, what a week! We’ve finally unpacked from Outdoor Retailer, but we’re still riding the high from being there!! It was inspiring to be among so many incredible people who have created awesome products...and pretty pleasing that many of them had already heard of us! Super-ambassador Lindsey Brown was there with us to spread the Lily Love, and Ambassador Elite Krissy Moehl also came by to say “hi”. We made lots of new contacts (woot-woot!) and even more new friends. One woman came by for her first pair of compression socks...and came back for more after a couple hours of walking, haha! The event was huge and the opportunity was profound--we’re thrilled to have been there!!

What size works best for me?
