All About Me...

Why do you run? I love the personal satisfaction of pushing my limits to see the outcome of accomplishments. Also, I love the social aspects such as meeting new friends and sharing experiences both at races and on the mountain.

Favorite distance? Half Marathon

Bucket List Races/Runs? Boston Marathon, Antelope 50 miler, Squaw Peak 50 miler, Wasatch 100 ultra, Santa Rosa 140.6 Ironman

Do you train according to any particular plan/method? I create my own training plans based on past experience, advice from friend experts, and in reading social media race recaps.

What 3 words best describe your typical race strategy? Don't Give Up

What’s on your running playlist? “Shape of You” by Ed Shareen, “Simply the Best” Tina Turner

What role does nutrition play in helping you reach your fitness goals? It plays a huge role in helping with recovery and being able to hit every workout with a maximum energy level

If you could choose anyone to train with, who would it be and why? My husband, because he's fast and hot ;)

Funniest running/most awkward running story? The day that I slipped in a rock while trail running and barrel rolled 4 times down the mountain was pretty epic.

What do you do to overcome mental/physical challenges while running? Turn my music up louder, pray for help, or tell myself “this is nothing compared to the end of a marathon” -the last one is helpful for any distance except Marathon distance… and in that case I just cry and keep moving my legs.

Road running or Trail running? Trail, no doubt

Favorite quote: “Be the best version of you.”

Favorite movie: Secretariat

Favorite book: “Man’s Search for Meaning” Viktor Frankl

Why Lily Trotters?

Why do you wear compression? Compression socks are crucial for my recovery and circulation, especially while trying to improve my race times.

What do you like about Lily Trotters compression socks? I love that Lily Trotters are easier to take on and off, but still give compression support. I also like the huge selection of prints and designs, and the padded heel is an added bonus!
