All About Me...

Do you train according to any particular plan/method? I have a coach who sets up my training plan for various running and triathlon events throughout the year.

What 3 words best describe your typical race strategy? Just Finish It!

What’s on your running playlist? Audiobooks! My all-time favorite is the Harry Potter series. I’m also a big fan of Stephen King and of the Critical Failure series on Audible.

What do you do to overcome mental/physical challenges while running? I listen to audiobooks while I run. I try to keep the stories light and/or something I’m familiar with so if my mind wanders or I’m talking to someone it isn’t a big deal if I miss a part of the story. However, when I’m feeling really challenged while running I try to concentrate on the story and get lost in the
words. During races I don’t always listen to audio though, so when the going gets tough then I imagine the finish line and how amazing it is going to be to get there. Also, I remind myself that I don’t quit.

What are your non-running hobbies? Yoga, triathlon, and keeping my kids alive! One of my goals is to try out mountain biking.

Why Lily Trotters?

What do you like about Lily Trotters compression socks? I used to wear compression only for recovery. I had tried running in compression and found it fairly uncomfortable….until Lily Trotters! I love them for recovery, but I now swear by them during long runs. I wore Lily Trotters for most of my 50 miler training runs and then during my actual race. I definitely believe they gave me a boost that I needed. I love the variety of styles. If you look good, you feel good.
