Philadelphia Sun sheds some light on the benefits of compression
Ahhh…Philadelphia. When Philly likes something, anything, it likes it in a BIG way. Think cheesesteaks and sports -- but that’s not all! Philadelphia is catching the compression bug. They see it on their professional athletes on the football field and basketball court and now they’re spotting compression on the runners of the Philadelphia Marathon and the infamous Broad Street 10-Mile Run.
But the Philadelphia Sun says, why stop there -- the benefits of compression go well-beyond increasing athletic performance. “They’re a boon to travelers on extended flights because they promote blood flow that can prevent Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT), a serious condition. Lily Trotter’s compression socks are not the old fashioned “medical” socks from the past. They have unique designs and patterns that match every outfit, add zest to any look and are manufactured in the US.”
So, the next time you’re traveling to (or from!) the city of brotherly love, don’t forget to don your compression socks! Don’t thank us, thank the Philadelphia Sun.
